HABITS THAT WEAKENS THE TEETH

Teeth are the main part, which assists to chew the food. It aids in phonation, it is required to form the look of the face, and also found supportive for the facial tissues.  However, a formation of one tooth includes jaw bone, root, dentine, nerves and blood vessels; gum, enamel, and crown (a surface of the teeth). Human teeth have been categorized into four parts, which performs well to chew the food. Incisors are the front portion of the teeth; that assist to split the food. Further, the canines are the front corner located teeth inside the mouth; it is quite sharp, which helps in cutting down the food.

 

Besides canines, 2 premolars teeth are located, which is comparatively broader in shape and surface, and works great to chew and crush the food. Further, molars are the last part of the teeth, which is located extreme inside the corner of the mouth having a wide surface, works mainly to chew and grind the food, completely. However, to chew food you must hold healthy and strong teeth. It is only possible by taking care of the teeth. Brushing your teeth after eating any of the sticky stuff would be good. A regular check up, avoiding sweet and sour stuff, ice and hot things would be helpful, to save the vigor’s of the teeth. However, there are some of the habits that a person normally carries, which further may result weak and feeble teeth.

 

  • Consuming Ice

If, you are so much fond of ice then avoid it; since, consuming ice cube enhances the sensitivity of the teeth, and make difficult to chew the food. Munching hard ice cube may upset the soft tissue of the teeth, which further make the teeth weak and inactive. However, consuming hot or cold food leads to jaw bleeding, paining and weak teeth.

 

  • Eating sour stuff

 

Consuming sour stuff is the main reason to enhance the sensitivity, of the teeth. Mostly, ladies are seen fond of consuming sour stuff like tamarind, lemon juice, etc. which is quite harmful for the teeth. Eating sour stuff makes the teeth fragile, which makes difficult not only to consume food, but also to drink water. Hence, one must avoid eating sour stuffs to save the teeth.

 

  • Smoking cigarettes

 

Smoking cigarettes are the key reason to spoil the surface and shine, of the teeth. A person smoking cigarettes may get oral cancer and delicate teeth. You can examine blackness over the surface of the teeth, weak jaw, feeble teeth, and sticky mouth of a smoking person. One should avoid smoking to get healthy teeth.

 

  • Drinking wine/ alcohol

 

Alcoholic people are more likely, to get teeth disorders; since, drinking alcohol makes the teeth delicate and rough. However, the acid present in the wine cut down the enamel of the teeth, makes it rough, weak and staining. Red wine holds some pigment named as chromogen and tannins, which brings yellowish color over the teeth. Red wine, white wine, etc. makes the teeth rough and staining, gradually.  Thus, try to drink less wine to prevent your teeth from getting, weak, stain, and rough.

 

  • Drinking coffee

 

Coffee is another reason, to bring teeth disorders. Consuming dark coffee, make the teeth yellow and sticky; it also leads to acidity problem. Since, consuming coffee is considered good for the health, but its excessive intake may bring some health and teeth disorders. Hence, don’t be so much fond of coffee; since, it’s over intake may harm the health.

 

  • Consuming snacks persistently

 

Eating snacks continuously make the teeth sticky and staining. The parts of the snacks get attached to the teeth and persist for a longer period, results yellow teeth and bleeding gums. However, snacks forms less saliva than the normal food we consume; hence, consuming snacks may bring down the saliva formation. Further, snacks lead to the germ formation inside the teeth. People can drink water or brush the teeth, to reduce the chances of bacterial formation.

 

  • Fruit juice or soft drinks

 

There is no doubt that consuming fruit juice or soft drinks refreshes the mind, but its constant intake may bring staining and sticky teeth; since, it contains sugar, which enhances the risk of germs or cavities development inside the teeth. Avoidance is not the suggestion, but drinking clean water or brushing the teeth would be helpful.

People use soda in many ways, but one should note that soda holds phosphoric and citric acid, which chomp away an enamel of the teeth, gradually.

 

  • Eating sticky chocolates

 

Children are seen very much fond of eating such sticky chocolates, and thus they get more teeth disorders. However, sticky chocolates get accumulated in the teeth, which exist throughout the day, and bring development of germs inside the teeth. Small children are more likely, to get teeth disorders; hence, avoid addicting them for chocolates.

 

Moreover, it has been noticed that mother feed their children through the bottle while sleeping; however, this habit may bring weak, sticky, staining teeth of a child. A mother should avoid this habit to prevent their child’s teeth, from getting spoiled.

 

  • Hard brushing

 

Brushing the teeth twice in a day is advisable, but hard or rough brushing may lead to many teeth disorders. The point of brushing is to reduce the development of bacteria, which may lead to cavities, gum bleeding, staining, bad breath, etc. Do not brush the teeth hardly, try to move the brush slowly over the teeth and cover all the directions, from upper to lower, and from inside to outer area, of the teeth. Move the brush in the circulation motion; this will help remove the cavities from the teeth, easily.

 

  • Avoid crushing teeth

 

Some of the people are seen habitual of grinding teeth. However, the persistence of such strange habit may cut down the enamel and surface of the teeth, which results gradual reduction in the size of the teeth. It may also lead to weak and irritating teeth.

 

Moreover, do not use the teeth to cut or to tear anything; since, it may break the teeth or may make it feeble.
